It would be helpful if after enabling a client portal, that the link will be displayed within the project overview page. The problem here is that if we enable the portal, while yes, it sends the client an email with the link to their portal, but a few things can happen:
  1. The client could lose the email and therefore lose the link. If they contacted us to provide it to them, we'd be unable to and would instead have to disable their portal and enable it again.
  2. We need to be able to see what it looks like in order to test/assist the clients if they have an issue with it.
  3. Or someone could be like me and have enabled the portal, the client had access. Since I didn't know the link, I had to contact the client and ask them to provide it to me. Once I looked at it, I saw that they had only viewing ability on several things. So I decided to change them to a type "collaborator" instead of "client" so that they would potentially have ability to interact with the portal instead of just viewing things. That presented another problem. If you change their type to collaborator, then it disables the client portal. I've now had to re-enable it, which generates another email to the client. The old link no longer works. So it would be nice if the link to the portal is visible somewhere after it is generated and should update dynamically each time it's generated.
Thanks
